Why do you stop anything and then find it so difficult to start again?

It’s always complicated, but yet it’s not as complicated as you think. We’ve all been there-trying to get back to a workout schedule, attempting to pick up an old hobby, finding time to read the stack of books and magazines by the side of your bed.

Life, it sometimes gets in the way of your life.

Distractions abound, and if you are easily distracted like me, suddenly a few weeks turn into a few months. And then you don’t know where to start, and then you just don’t.

Sometimes it’s just getting your booty to the gym, leafing through the stack of magazines, starting to write again even though you still don’t know what you are doing. It’s that whole just starting the journey is half the battle.

I spent time researching how to run a website from “experts”. A lot of the advice was good, but some-not so much. The biggest hurdles were moving to a self -hosted WordPress website. Which led to a slew of design problems that I still struggle with today. I’m not a designer, but I can certainly try to play one on TV, if someone ever asked. So this will be a design work in progress.

The “experts” say you should have a blog/website about “something, “ which, in the past, my blog the Blogger site was about nothing. Homage to a certain TV show.

But I agree this should be about “something”. And I’ve narrowed it down to MUSIC, for the most part. It seems right now it’s just about me rambling on to the few of you who stumble over here. And the writing won’t be the best at times, and I’m learning to let that slide too. I spend too much time agonizing over words and sentences.

Sometimes you just have time to open up the Mic and go off the top of your head.

And I think I might call this a website, not a blog. Blog sounds so last decade no?
At any rate, it’s a work in progress. Just like me.

Just like we all are.

So welcome, and I’ll do the best I can to entertain and inform you for a minute.

Which is really…as a Recovering DJ..what it’s all about for me anyways.
